Standard PA6 injection molding parameters. Always pre-dry PA6 to < 0.08% moisture content before processing to prevent splay marks and hydrolytic chain scission during melt.
| Process Parameter | Recommended Value / Range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-Drying | 80 °C × 4 hours (dehumidifying dryer) | Target moisture < 0.08%. Ambient air drying is insufficient for PA6. |
| Barrel Zone 1 (Rear) | 230 – 240 °C | Lower rear temp minimizes GF fiber breakage in feed zone. |
| Barrel Zone 2 (Middle) | 245 – 255 °C | |
| Barrel Zone 3 (Front) | 255 – 270 °C | |
| Nozzle Temperature | 250 – 265 °C | Slightly lower than front zone to prevent drooling. |
| Mold Temperature | 60 – 90 °C | 80–90°C recommended for best surface finish and GF wet-out. |
| Injection Pressure | 80 – 140 MPa | Higher for thin walls and higher GF loadings. |
| Holding Pressure | 50 – 80% of injection pressure | Hold time 10–25 s; scale with wall thickness. |

Most common technical and commercial questions from injection molders and OEM buyers about modified PA6 compounds.
Recommended standard drying for all PA6 grades: 80°C for 4 hours in a dehumidifying (desiccant) dryer, to achieve final pellet moisture content below 0.08% (800 ppm). A hopper dryer without desiccant (ambient-air dryer) is NOT sufficient for PA6 — it will at best reach 0.20% moisture, which causes splay marks, hydrolytic degradation and 10–15% tensile loss in the molded part. For high-humidity climates (RH > 65%), extend drying time to 6 hours or double-check moisture with a portable PA moisture analyzer. For opened bags exposed > 48 hours, re-dry at 90°C for 5 hours before re-processing.
Yes, we produce several flame-retardant (FR) PA6 grades, both halogen-free red-phosphorus based and halogen-containing brominated systems depending on your requirements. Standard catalog FR PA6 grade FTF02-FRV0 is UL94 V0 rated at 0.8 mm with GF25 content and GWIT 775°C glow-wire performance for electrical connector applications. Non-halogen (eco-friendly) PA6 FR V0 with GF30 is also available under FTF02-FRV0-HF. FR PA6 grades carry a MOQ of 2,000 kg for standard black FRV0. Custom CTI 600V + FR V0 + GF30 combination can be quoted on request — tell us your UL file target and our R&D will match the formulation.
The standard MOQ for bulk export orders is indeed 1,000 kg (one full pallet). However, we do support genuine material-evaluation trial batches smaller than 1 ton at a modest per-kilogram premium (typically +15% on the standard unit price). We can also ship our free 2 kg test sample first for you to run small-scale molding trials on your own injection machine before committing to a 1-ton pallet. Trial batches of 100–500 kg ship in 2–3 working days if the grade is in stock, and are packaged either as full 25 kg bags or (for <100 kg) smaller 5 kg sample bags on request. Ask our sales engineer for the trial-batch quote during your inquiry.
Yes, absolutely — every single shipment (including 1-pallet MOQ orders) includes a signed Certificate of Conformance (CoC / Material Test Report) with the actual tested mechanical and physical properties from that exact production lot, not generic datasheet values. Our standard CoC includes: lot number & date, tensile strength, tensile modulus, flexural strength, notched Izod impact, HDT @ 1.82 MPa, MVR, density, moisture and color dE vs master — all tested per ISO standard in our own in-house ISO lab. We also include the ROHS 2.0 and REACH SVHC compliance letter, plus MSDS and Certificate of Origin on request. For FDA food-contact grades (GBC30 series), the CoC additionally confirms FDA 21 CFR 177.1500 and EU 10/2011 compliance of the lot.
